Realtime interview help · Windows · macOS in validation

Never freeze on the question you did not prepare for.

WhileHired hears the question, finds the answer inside the resume you actually sent, and puts twelve words on your screen about a second later. It stays out of screen shares. No bot joins your call.

  • Excluded from screen capture
  • No bot in the call, nothing to join
  • Audio transcribed, never stored
  • No card for the trial

Tell me about a time you cut latency on a system that was already live.

Cut p99 latency 42% by replacing a synchronous fan-out with a queued pipeline.

  • Traced the tail to one downstream call, not the database everyone blamed.
  • Shipped behind a flag and compared real percentiles for a week.
  • Wrote the runbook the on-call team still uses.

Interview formats WhileHired works with

Works with

  • Microsoft Teams
  • Google Meet
  • Zoom
  • A phone on speaker
  • A panel round

If it reaches your speakers, it reaches the Cue.

Ninety seconds

The interview is forty-five minutes. The hard part is the pause.

Everyone prepares the answers. Almost nobody prepares the four seconds between the question and the first word. That is the gap this product is built for.

Not a script. Not a chatbot reading your answers back. A short, honest prompt from your own work, at the moment it is needed.

  1. 21:40

    The night before

You have the resume. The story behind it is not ready.

You can name every project on that page. The numbers, the trade-off, the thing that broke at 2am — that is a different kind of knowing. Most candidates rehearse the introduction and hope the rest arrives under pressure.

  2. 10:04

    The question lands

Four seconds of silence feel like a verdict.

The interviewer finishes and waits. Going blank is not a knowledge problem. It is a retrieval problem, with a clock and an audience, on a question nobody sent you in advance.

  3. 10:04:03

    Twelve words

The Cue is built from what you already did.

One glance line you can read at a glance, then three beats if you need more. Assembled from the resume you sent and the job you applied to, then checked against both. If your Brief does not support a claim, you get an uncertainty line instead of an invention.

  4. 16:30

    The next round

One interview should make the next one easier.

The Thread keeps the questions that were actually asked. Recall turns them into the practice you should have done before the call — or you delete the whole Thread when you press Stop.

The first question everyone asks

They see your screen. They do not see the Cue.

The Cue window is excluded from capture at the window level. Screen shares and recordings made with Teams, Meet and Zoom do not contain its pixels — at any opacity, in any corner of the display. We re-assert that flag every second of a Thread, and again whenever a display is added or removed.

The same second, two screens

Excluded from capture.

Your screen. The Cue floats above the call, excluded from capture at the window level.

OS-LEVEL CAPTURE EXCLUSION

The honest scope: This is window-level capture exclusion, not invisibility. A phone camera pointed at the screen, or a capture card, will see everything. On Windows every release is tested with real capture tools before it ships. macOS is in validation and is not claimed yet.

First ten minutes

A small number of steps, and one of them is a safety check.

Setup is not meant to be impressive. It is meant to be finished — and to end with you having seen the exclusion work with your own eyes, on your own laptop, before an interviewer is on the other end of it.

  1. 01 30 seconds

    Install it

Run the signed installer. Your system shows WhileHired Technologies as the publisher. No card, no account upgrade.

✓ You should see: WhileHired Technologies, signed.

  2. 02 2 minutes

    Run the stealth test

Open Teams, Meet or Zoom, share your screen and look for the Cue in your own preview. It will not be there. Do this once, on your laptop, before you trust it.

✓ You should see: an empty share, and the Cue still on your screen.

  3. 03 1 minute

    Ask one real question

Add the resume you sent, then say a question you are afraid of out loud. Read the line. Say it in your own words. That is the whole product.

✓ You should see: a glance line in about a second.

Why it sounds like you

Your resume is the source. Not the internet’s average.

Your Brief is the resume you sent, the job description you applied to, and the opening minutes of the conversation. Every suggestion is assembled from that material and checked against it before it reaches your screen.

The model runs on our backend behind an adapter. The app you install contains no provider key, no prompt template, and no way to raise its own limits.

What the Cue does with each input
Input What it fixes
Your resume Roles, dates, systems, scale. The facts an interviewer will check.
The job description The stack and seniority the team is actually screening for.
The last few turns Follow-ups land in context instead of restarting the answer.
Nothing at all An explicit uncertainty line. Never a confident invention.

Why it is called WhileHired

A job search is a loop, not a launch.

You apply. You interview. You learn something about yourself you did not know on Tuesday. Then you do it again, slightly better.

Most tools for this are built for the first run only: a script to memorise, a bank of answers that were never yours. They help once and get thinner every time you open them.

WhileHired is built for the loop. Every interview leaves a Thread you can learn from. Every Brief gets sharper because your resume does. The condition at the end is the only thing that stops it.

What a round costs

One pack is 4 interviews, not a monthly bill.

A typical technical round runs about 45 minutes. ₹1,079 buys 180 minutes, which is 4 of those rounds — ₹270 an interview, GST already inside the price. The hours sit in your account until you use them, whether that is next week or after the next placement season.

The arithmetic candidates do themselves

A 10% difference on a ₹12 LPA offer is ₹1.2 lakh a year. This pack is ₹1,079, paid once. That is the entire argument, and it does not need a countdown timer.

Ten percent of a hypothetical annual offer, compared with the pack price
If the offer is 10% a year
₹8 LPA offer ₹80,000
₹12 LPA offer ₹1.2 lakh
₹18 LPA offer ₹1.8 lakh

Arithmetic, not a promise. We do not know whether you get the offer, and we are not going to pretend a tool decides that.

What it does not do

The limits, stated before you install.

A tool that overstates itself is a tool you cannot trust under pressure. These four boundaries are the ones that decide whether the Cue is honest when the room is quiet.

It does not join your call
No bot in the participant list, no calendar permission, no link to click. It listens to the audio already playing on your laptop.
It does not keep your audio
Speech is transcribed in flight and discarded. No recording is written to disk and no audio is stored on our side.
It does not read your screen
Coding rounds where the question exists only on screen are not supported yet. We would rather ship that properly than half-read your editor.
It does not get you hired
You get hired by what you have done and how you say it. The Cue shortens the distance between knowing an answer and saying it out loud.

Questions

The ones people ask first.

The rest are in the full FAQ.

Will the interviewer see it on my screen?

On Windows, not in a screen share. The Cue window is excluded from capture at the operating-system level, so shares and recordings made with Teams, Meet, Zoom and the platform capture APIs do not contain it.

macOS is still in validation and is not sold yet. We will publish the exact capture tools it is verified against before a macOS download exists.

That is scoped honestly: it is window-level capture exclusion, not invisibility. It cannot hide from a phone camera pointed at your screen.

Is this just a ChatGPT wrapper?

No. Answers are generated server-side from your Brief, which is the resume and job description you supplied. Every claim is checked against that material before it is shown. If the evidence is not there, the Cue says so instead of inventing it.

The prompt, the provider key and the entitlement check all live on our backend. None of it ships inside the app you install.

Does it record my interview?

Audio is streamed for transcription and is not stored. Transcript text is kept only if Recall is on, and you can delete a Thread at any time.

There is no audio file on your disk, no recording in our storage, and no transcript in our logs.

Is using this allowed?

That is between you and the company interviewing you. Some employers prohibit assistance tools; many do not. WhileHired is a preparation and delivery aid, not a way to fake experience. Every answer is grounded in your real resume.

We do not market it as undetectable, and we will not pretend the question is settled for you.
